When KAN were formed in December of 2009, Aidan O’Rourke, Brian Finnegan, Ian Stephenson and Jim Goodwin were already known improvisers and innovators. They had previously collaborated, either in the studio or in a live setting and their mutual respect and nuanced perspective on performing and composing fostered a space where new ideas and new sound flourished; KAN became a canvas for their inventiveness.

Sleeper was released in 2012 and by then they had evolved into an irrepressible live act with a loyal and quickly growing fan base. Their return to the fold is a thrilling proposition, weaving new narratives and life experiences into the groundbreaking material from Sleeper.

The Reiver Divas are a new, kick-ass fiddle band comprising 15 women from the forefront of Northumbrian and Border folk music. Guitar, piano and a feast of fiddles ensure you can expect groovy ancient and modern tunes, excerpts of local ditties, and arrangements at once beautiful and beastly, so prepare to stomp your feet, or dry your eyes: The Reiver Divas are coming!
