Royal Northern Sinfonia

Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings
Thu 17 Oct 19:30

Royal Northern Sinfonia and Maria Wloszczowska’s first concert of the season is a real showstopper. Schoenberg's Verklärte Nacht (Transfigured Night) is a seriously indulgent pieces of music – rich, indulgent, almost impossibly romantic. Benjamin Britten’s piece for voice and strings is music that’s direct and powerful in a quite different way: spare, tight and full of suspense. Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings is a lush soundscape that’ll leave with a warm glow as you head out into an autumn night.
