Phil Tufnell is a much loved former England International Cricket star – he found even more fame on TV as a team captain on the long running BBC 1 series A Question of Sport. His banter with host Sue Barker became an endearing part of the show and the viewers loved it! When Tuffers & Team left the show, viewers switched off in their numbers.

Phil is equally at home fronting high profile world cricket events and in a radio studio for the iconic BBC ‘Test Match Special’ – or anywhere there is a microphone to be found. Fun and laughter is very much the name of the game for Phil, as viewers were to find out when he captured the hearts of millions to win ‘I’m a Celebrity ....Get Me Out Of Here! in 2003.

Phil has also put on his dancing shoes for some memorable performances on the smash hit BBC 1 series Strictly Come Dancing. A host of books also carry his name and he is a much in-demand guest star on the biggest chat shows – his knack of always wanting to bring the fun elements of life to the conversation has made him a hugely popular after dinner speaker too.

In this very rare North East appearance you can hear Phil talk through all aspects of his amazing career with legendary broadcaster Goffy (Century Radio, Metro Radio and BBC). There will be an opportunity for audience questions too that Goffy will chat through on stage with Tuffers!
