The Parade Ground is our new private outdoor performance and events space. With festival lighting, outdoor bar, seating areas and a stage in a gated open-air area at the rear of the building, The Parade Ground is the perfect place to host outdoor events, parties and get-togethers.
And it's home to The Fire Station Summer Parties, our month-long series of outdoor gigs and shows running throughout August.
What Is The Parade Ground?
The Parade Ground is our brand new outdoor performance and events space. With festival lighting, an outdoor bar, seating areas and a stage, The Parade Ground is the perfect place to host outdoor events, parties and get-togethers. It's also the home of The Fire Station Summer Parties season.
Where Is The Parade Ground?
The Parade Ground is situated at the rear of The Fire Station. It can be accessed through The Fire Station main entrance or via the rear doors of The Engine Room bar and restaurant only. It is a private, gated area.
What Is The Capacity Of The Parade Ground?
It depends on the nature of the show or event, but typically The Parade Ground can hold up to 600 people.
Is The Parade Ground Accessible?
Yes. Accessible tickets, including tickets for wheelchair users and essential companions, can be purchased for all of our events in The Parade Ground, and you will be given priority views of the action on stage.
Is There An Age Limit On The Parade Ground?
Typically under 14s must be accompained by an adult. Please refer to individual show terms for full details.
Can I Drink Alcohol In The Parade Ground?
Yes, we have a fully stocked outdoor bar that serves alcohol, soft drinks and refreshments.
Can I Smoke In The Parade Ground?
For shows in The Parade Ground smoking areas are clearly signposted on the day - this is typically at the front of the venue.
What Happens If It Rains?
We have contingency plans in place if severe weather is forecast. You will be notified at least 24 hours before the show if we intend to move the performance into our indoor auditorium.
Can I Hire The Parade Ground?
